Atlanta, GA: Critically acclaimed film 2 Khet (Two Farms) directed by Jagat Joon, has been honored with the Best Director Award at the prestigious South Asian International Film Festival in Florida (SAIFFF) held from February 21-23, 2025.
NRI filmmaker Sanjay Arora is the Executive Producer of the film, praised for its “poignant storytelling and artistic depth, captivated both audiences and critics, securing this esteemed recognition,” noted a statement.

Arora’s latest project, “You Are Early,” a collaboration with a Singaporean production house featuring a talented cast of Singaporean actors, was also screened at the festival. The film received an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences, further showcasing Arora’s ability to bring powerful narratives to life.
The statement noted that in September 2024, Arora’s film “Once Upon a Time in Lahore,” directed by Jagat Joon, which he produced, won Best Film and Best Actor in a Short Film at the India International Film Festival of Boston. If further stated that his past directorial ventures, including “Butterfly Wings,” “Once Again,” and “Expression,” have garnered numerous international awards, further solidifying his reputation as a filmmaker with a global impact.
Currently, Arora is working on his upcoming feature film, Vapsi, which is in pre-production. “The film is an emotional exploration of aging parents living alone in India while their only son resides abroad. It raises thought-provoking questions about the true meaning of success—is it measured by financial achievements and career milestones, or by those who stand by you when it matters the most?” added the statement.
