India Heritage Foundation (IHF) New Jersey held a vibrant and spiritually uplifting celebration of Sri Rama Navami on April 6, 2025, in Edison, New Jersey, commemorating the divine appearance of Lord Rama, a central figure in the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana.
Distinguished guests included India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, and Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of India in New York, Vishal Jayeshbhai Harsh.

Held at IHF’s Edison location, the event featured the traditional Sita Rama Kalyanam, a ceremonial reenactment of the divine wedding of Lord Rama and Sita, as well as the sacred Sri Rama Paduka Seva, devotional music, arati, and a festive prasadam feast shared among attendees.
The celebration drew more than 400 devotees and well-wishers, including prominent community leaders, academics, and members of the Indian-American diaspora from across New Jersey and neighboring states, underscoring the event’s wide cultural and spiritual resonance.

Speaking at the event, President of India Heritage Foundation New Jersey, Sri Shuklambhara Dasa, remarked, “Sri Rama Navami is not only a celebration of the divine pastimes of Lord Rama but also a reminder of the timeless values He exemplified. We are honored to host such a meaningful gathering here in Edison.”
