The Ram & Mithlesh Gupta Foundation, in association with URJAA Global, hosted the Indian Knowledge System (IKS), Heritage & AI Conference 2026 at Pride Plaza in Aerocity, New Delhi, bringing together educators, policymakers, researchers, thought leaders, and school administrators to examine the integration of India’s traditional knowledge systems with emerging artificial intelligence technologies.
Held under the theme, “A Day of Knowledge, Heritage & Innovation,” the conference focused on how the principles of the Indian Knowledge System can be incorporated into modern education while leveraging AI to help prepare future generations for a rapidly evolving world, according to the organizers.
The conference opened with a formal inauguration led by Ram Gupta, Jyoti Luthra, Abhishek Singh, and Dr. Dheeraj Mehrotra. Organizers said the ceremonial opening reflected the event’s commitment to advancing knowledge while preserving India’s cultural heritage and embracing innovation in education.
A featured segment of the conference was a virtual address by Partha Ghosh of Boston Pledge, USA, who shared global perspectives on educational collaboration and innovation. The address was followed by remarks from Ram Gupta, founder of the Ram Mithlesh Gupta Foundation, USA, who highlighted the importance of value-based education and international partnerships.
Delegates were welcomed by Jyoti Luthra, president of the URJAA Global Principals Association, who spoke about the organization’s vision of empowering educators through “leadership, collaboration, and innovation.” The conference also recognized the contributions of URJAA board members and the Ram Mithlesh Gupta Foundation for their continued support of educational initiatives.
The conference featured keynote addresses by Dr. Dheeraj Mehrotra, Shiv Khera, Dr. Amit Kumar, Dr. Dilip Nandkeolyar, and internationally recognized scientist Dr. Vic Gaffney. The speakers shared insights on “educational transformation, leadership, innovation,” and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Two panel discussions were among the conference’s highlights. The first, titled “Integrating Indian Knowledge System into School Education using AI,” examined ways to incorporate traditional Indian knowledge into AI-enabled learning. The second, “Ancient Indian Wisdom in the Age of AI,” explored how Indian philosophies, ethical values, and holistic learning approaches can complement AI-driven education to foster responsible, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments.
The event also featured Kathakali performances and live musical presentations celebrating India’s cultural heritage, underscoring the conference’s message that technological advancement and cultural preservation can progress together.
The conference concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions to education, followed by networking opportunities that allowed participants to exchange ideas and build professional connections.
