India continues to be recognized by the United Nations on its Honor Roll as a Member State that has paid its regular budget contributions in full and on time.
The Honor Roll includes Member States that have met their financial obligations to the UN within 30 days of receiving a payment letter, according to a statement from PMI.
The statement noted that the UN General Assembly approved a regular budget of US$3.6 billion in December 2025. Contributions from each Member State are assessed based on the Scale of Assessment approved by the General Assembly.
“Consistently featuring on the UN’s Honor Roll is a testimony to India’s abiding faith in multilateralism,” the statement said. “India’s timely contribution to the UN every year also reaffirms its steadfast commitment to uphold the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and support the organization’s financial stability and operational effectiveness.”
