As part of “Seva Pakhwada,” a campaign emphasizing “Seva Bhav” and “collective responsibility,” the Embassy of India in Washington D.C., in collaboration with MY Bharat and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, will host the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 on September 28 at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir campus in Beltsville, Maryland.
The event will feature a community walk/run under the theme, “Run to Serve the Nation.”
“Seva Pakhwada, also observed as Seva Parv, is a fortnight dedicated to service, responsibility, and collective effort, reflecting the spirit of Service. During this period, activities are organized in India and abroad to promote social responsibility, civic participation, and community service,” the Embassy stated.
The Viksit Bharat Run 2025 is the centerpiece of this year’s Seva Pakhwada and will be held simultaneously in more than 150 cities worldwide, highlighting the shared theme of “Run to Serve the Nation.”
The Embassy has invited members of the Indian diaspora, friends of India, and local community residents from the DMV area, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina to participate and help spread the spirit of collective responsibility (Seva) globally.
