The upcoming film, Kesar Singh, produced by Parimal Shah and Vinit Shah under Equator Entertainments, brings together Bhumika Chawla and Arbaaz Khan in a deeply emotional slice-of-life drama set in the heart of small-town India.
The film follows the inspiring journey of Kesar Singh, a woman whose unbreakable spirit, determination, and quiet courage transform an ordinary life into an extraordinary story. Shot across Uttar Pradesh and Wai, the film portrays the warmth, relationships, and resilience that define life in India’s heartland.
Stepping into the titular role, Bhumika Chawla as Kesar battles life’s emotional storms while holding her family together with love, patience, and grit. Kesar Singh traces the deeply moving journey of this woman who transforms a life-altering setback into a story of hope, courage and revival. It is an uplifting tale of grit, second chances and the extraordinary strength that ordinary people can find within themselves when life demands it.

The film presents Arbaaz Khan in a role unlike any before—layered, vulnerable, and emotionally driven. His chemistry with Bhumika brings sincerity and warmth to the story of a couple defining hope in moments of struggle.

Deepshikha Nagpal steps into a pivotal role that adds emotional depth and resonance as her character serves as a catalyst in Kesar’s evolution, bringing sensitivity and dramatic weight to the storytelling. “Kesar Singh moved me deeply when I first heard it,” she said. “My character plays a significant part in Kesar’s transformation, and that responsibility excited me. The film is heartfelt, powerful and incredibly relevant. I’m grateful to be part of a story that says so much, so simply.”
Adding further gravitas to the film is two-time National Award–winning lyricist Swanand Kirkire, who pens the songs. He stated, “The story touched me instantly. It’s raw, emotional and full of human truth. Writing for a character like Kesar—who rises again after breaking—required sensitivity and honesty. I wanted the songs to feel lived-in, like they belong to her journey. I’m proud to be part of this beautiful film.”
Directed by Jasbeer, Kesar Singh has completed its shoot and is currently in post-production.
