The airline’s loyalty program, Etihad Guest, today unveiled “The Extraordinary Challenge,” an unprecedented competition designed to ignite wanderlust and reward the most adventurous of its members.

The Race to Explore

Imagine jetting off to cities like the historic Addis Ababa, the vibrant Atlanta, the serene temples of Chiang Mai, or the bustling streets of Taipei. That’s the essence of this unique competition. Both new and existing Etihad Guest members are invited to fly to each of Etihad’s 15 new year-round destinations launching in 2025 within 12 months, concluding on May 25, 2026.

The stakes are high. The first Etihad Guest member to complete “The Extraordinary Challenge” will claim a staggering 5 million Etihad Guest miles. The second-place finisher will be awarded 3 million miles, with 1 million miles going to the third-place winner.

To put that into perspective, 5 million miles can translate into over 500 Economy flights, more than 70 business-class trips, or over 40 unforgettable first-class journeys. These miles aren’t just for flights; they can also be redeemed for luxurious holidays and a vast array of items from the Etihad Guest Reward Shop, turning the thrill of the chase into tangible, memorable experiences.

A Digital Passport to Adventure

The competition isn’t just about the destinations; it’s also about the journey. Participants will have access to a dedicated race dashboard featuring a “digital passport” that gets stamped with each new city visited.
