Soni Sangwan, Special to South Asian Herald

Soni Sangwan is a journalist and writer with over two decades of experience in leading Indian newspapers and news channels. She was the Chief Reporter of Hindustan Times, and Deputy Editor with news channel Headlines Today and Good Housekeeping India. She was a part of the launch team for CNN-IBN and also launched a daily tabloid in New Delhi titled MetroNow. An alumnus of Hindu College, Delhi University, she is the only Indian journalist to have been selected by the Freedom Forum to be a Journalist-in-Residence at the George Washington University, Washington DC. She is married to Maj. Gen. Sandeep Singh, AVSM, and they have a daughter, Sonakshi.
