He can do stunts, his comic timing never falters, he makes fun of everyone and he doesn’t look a day over 30. Guest Akshay Kumar aka Khiladi Kumar took over the Season 3 finale of The Great Indian Kapil Show, left Kapil and his parivaar (family) speechless, and is poised to keep the audience in splits.

For every joke Kapil had prepared for his guest, the rebuttal was many times funnier. When Kapil poked fun at him for showing up late in Season 3 despite his punctual image, Akshay quipped, “Arre, mujhe pehle paise nahin mile (I did not get my remuneration earlier)!”

The banter continued as Kapil questioned if Akshay’s long list of films meant more talent or simply more zarooratein (needs), and Akshay cheekily turned it around. “Your show’s been on for three seasons on Netflix, plus you have two films and now a new café… tu bataa, teri talent zyada hai ya zarooratein (You tell me, is your talent more or your needs)?”

The episode also spotlights Akshay’s daredevil streak. Directors Mahesh Bhatt and Abbas-Mustan recall jaw-dropping moments of watching him pull off the riskiest stunts with zero stress, while everyone else on set held their breath. Akshay also reveals how he considers himself a stuntman first and then an actor.

Kapil also welcomed a group of stuntmen who have worked alongside Akshay, celebrating the real Khatron Ke Khiladis (those who play with danger). In a heartfelt moment, Akshay credited his career to the stuntmen saying, “Mere liye asli heroes yeh hai… innki wajah se mera career hai (For me, these are the real heroes…I owe them my career).”

The stuntmen also shared a touching side of Akshay, revealing how he has ensured every stuntman in their union is covered with life insurance, with him quietly paying their premiums for years. Their words reflected deep gratitude, bringing a heartfelt pause to an otherwise laughter-filled episode.

As the season and episode wraps up, the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3 was also ‘encountered’ on stage. Kiku Sharda essayed Babupao (Baburao) and Krushna Abhishek was Sunil Jetty (Suniel Shetty). And there is much more in store this Saturday.

Akshay, hero of five Housefull films and three Hera Pheri movies, has just released Jolly LLB 3, and initial reports are very positive. His Sky Force and Kesari 2, besides Housefull 5, have already been successes this year.
