Ektaa R. Kapoor is all set to bring the next big-screen horror-comedy, Hero Ki Horrorine, to audiences on January 7. A Jai Ho Media Ventures production, the film is presented by Balaji Telefilms Ltd. and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R. Kapoor and Amar Butala.
Known for creating stories across genres that have become a part of popular culture, Ektaa R. Kapoor has also built a strong association with the horror-comedy space, bringing together the thrills of the supernatural with humor, romance and entertainment. The stable’s Bhooth Bangla earlier this year was a hit, while she had also co-produced Great Grand Masti in 2015. With Hero Ki Horrorine, the makers return to the genre with a fresh theatrical entertainer that promises to combine horror and comedy in equal measure.
Amar Butala, who has previously co-produced box-office hits Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kesari and the critically-acclaimedMission Majnu joins hands with Ekta R. Kapoor for this forthcoming entertainer.
Directed by Sajid Khan, Hero Ki Horrorine brings together an ensemble cast featuring Yashvrdhn Ahuja (Govinda’s son), Nitanshi Goel, Sunita Ahuja (Govinda’s wife), Jamie Lever, Chunky Pandey, Brijendra Kala and Simrat Kaur Randhawa. The film brings a comic spin to the supernatural, weaving together horror, romance and humor.
For Yashvrdhn Ahuja, the film also marks his debut as a leading actor in Hindi cinema.
Hero Ki Horrorine releases in cinemas on January 7, 2027. It marks the return of Sajid Khan, who had helmed Heyy Babyy, the first two films in the Housefull franchise, Himmatwala and Humshakals, the first three being big hits. From screwball comedy, Khan now ventures into the horror comedy space.
