The U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) has welcomed the recent remarks by President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirming the importance of the “bilateral relationship” at a time of global uncertainty in the geopolitical and macroeconomic landscape.
“The U.S.-India partnership is the most significant geopolitical relationship of the 21st century. Over the past 25 years, every sitting U.S. President and Indian Prime Minister have worked diligently, building on the shared democratic values of both countries to reach this point — close alignment on strategic interests and strong business-to-business and people-to-people connections,” USISPF said in a statement.
President Trump and Prime Minister Modi recognize that there is more that unites the two countries than divides them, the statement underscored adding both “have invested personal capital in fostering this unity. USISPF applauds both leaders for their efforts to promote peace and prosperity globally.”
