Magnoliya Grand Conference and Event Center, a 28,000-square-foot facility capable of hosting over 1,500 guests, officially opened its doors on May 18, 2025, in Manassas, Virginia.
The grand opening was attended by elected officials from Prince William County as well as business leaders from across the DMV region. The celebration featured a variety of cultural performances, highlighting the center’s mission to serve as a gathering place for diverse communities.

“Today is not just the opening of a building. It is a dream that began more than four years ago,” said Pradeep Sengar, president and one of the owners of Munificent Group LLC, which owns the venue.
In his inaugural remarks, Sengar highlighted the broader purpose of the venue. “The Magnolia Grand is not just an event space; it is a place designed to bring people together, whether for celebrations, conferences, or community events,” he said, noting that it is ideally suited for both social and corporate functions of any size.
“We are proud to offer it to the heart of Northern Virginia,” he said.
Sengar emphasized that the project was a collective endeavor. “A project of this scale and complexity is never completed by one person,” he said, acknowledging the collaborative effort involved. “It is a collective effort, one that involves talent, trust and teamwork,” he added.

He expressed deep appreciation for the support received throughout the project’s development. “I would like to take a moment to recognize and express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this dream a reality,” he said, with particular thanks to officials and partners from Prince William County.
“Your support, guidance and collaborative spirit were instrumental throughout this journey,” he added. “I would especially like to recognize the Prince William County Industrial Development Authority for not only helping us navigate the process during construction, but also for the financial grant that supported this project.”
Former Virginia State Senator Richard Black also addressed the gathering, praising the initiative. He recalled learning about the project and immediately recognizing its significance. “That’s a tremendous investment,” he said. “It fills an opportunity, it fills a need that has been felt here in Northern Virginia, particularly in this Prince William and Loudoun County areas, for many years.”

Black noted the center’s prime location near Interstate 66 and adjacent to the historic Manassas Battlefield National Park. “So, we’re going to have a large, sophisticated venue for weddings, business conventions, and upscale events,” he added.
Dexter Montgomery, secretary-treasurer of the Prince William County Industrial Development Authority (IDA), spoke about the symbolism of the name Magnoliya.
He noted, “The Magnoliya tree has long been the ‘dignity, endurance, strength,’ and Magnoliya with its unique spelling reflects a unique project that is not just a building but a bold new chapter in Prince William County’s economic development community.”
Montgomery reflected on the long journey that led to the opening of the Magnoliya Grand. He recounted how the IDA became involved early in the development of the adjacent Hilton Garden Inn, when unforeseen expenses threatened to derail progress.

“That’s when our team stepped in, approving the loan to keep the project moving… It was about believing in a vision. Fast forward a few years later, and that vision, as you see, has bloomed,” he noted.
He added, the Hilton Garden Inn opened its doors, guests arrived, jobs were created, and then the second phase began, the Magnoliya Grand Conference and Events Center, right here in the Gainesville district.
Wade Hugh, deputy county executive for Mobility, Economic Growth, and Resiliency in Prince William County, and others addressed attendees, underscoring the significance of the project for regional development.
