India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the United States from September 21-23, 2024, to attend the Fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit, address a major community event, and participate in the Summit of the Future at the United Nations.
On September 21st, PM Modi will attend Quad Summit hosted by President Biden in Wilmington, Delaware. The next Quad Leaders’ Summit will be hosted by India in 2025.
At the Quad Summit, the leaders of the United States, India, Australia, and Japan “will review the progress achieved by the Quad over the last one year and set the agenda for the year ahead to assist the countries of the Indo-Pacific region in meeting their development goals and aspirations,” noted a statement from the Indian Embassy on September 17th.
In New York, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address the Indian community on September 22nd at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. He is also expected to meet with CEOs of top US-based companies to promote collaboration in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology. In addition, PM Modi will engage with thought leaders and key figures involved in the India-US bilateral relationship.
On September 23rd, the Prime Minister will address the “Summit of the Future,” at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The Summit under the theme “Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow,” will witness participation from several global leaders. On the sidelines of the Summit, the Prime Minister would also be engaging in bilateral meetings with global leaders.
