IQVIA Executive Receives Healthcare Leadership Award

Vice President and General Manager at IQVIA Inc., Nandini Selvam received the “Healthcare Leadership Award,” from Montgomery County Executive, Marc Elrich, during the 3rd Annual Incredible Inc. 50 Awards Gala, hosted by the US-India Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Council on October 1, 2024, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Maryland.

“We have built really strong relationships with the Indian community,” noted Elrich recalling his visit to India on a trade delegation. Elrich also presented awards to other business leaders also underscored the contributions of Indian Americans for the growth of Maryland. 

President and CEO, of the SME Council, Elisha Pulivarti, told South Asian Herald, “Nandini Selvam is a proven leader in the Healthcare field. She has tremendous experience in working with and supporting small and minority owned businesses. As such, the Council has chosen her for this recognition.”

Selvam, who serves as the President of IQVIA Government Solutions Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of IQVIA Inc., told South Asian Herald, “It is a tremendous honor to receive this award.  Small businesses are the backbone of this country, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to help support small businesses through partnerships and mentoring.”

With over 20 years of experience in healthcare across private, government, and academic settings, Selvam supports the US federal government in her current role.

Her experience spans epidemiology, surveillance, domestic and global health policy, project management and implementation, profit and loss, and strategy development.  She routinely serves as a subject matter expert on national vaccine advisory panels, and also as an advisor to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Economic Forum.

Maryland’s Secretary of State, Susan Lee, Secretary of Higher Education in Maryland, Sanjay Rai, Maryland Governor’s Office on Community Initiatives, Christina Poy, Member of the Governor’s Commission on South Asian American Affairs, Aman Shergill, and Chairman of the SME Council, Sudhakar Gande who were present at the ceremony also congratulated Selvam on her “well deserved” recognition. 

Founder and Chairman of Sikhs of America, Jesse Singh, President and CEO of Global Alliant, Rajan Natarajan also spoke on the occasion and presented awards to business owners and community leaders for their achievements.
